For this Epiphany 2026, Chef Philippe Conticini presents his traditional, generously filled King Cake.

 

Its inverted puff pastry—both crisp and melt-in-the-mouth—encloses an almond frangipane.

As tradition dictates, a beautiful handcrafted fève is hidden at the heart of this creation… So, who will be king or queen this year?

 

Tip: You can warm your King Cake in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes at a maximum of 130°C (265°F) to restore its flakiness—it will taste even better! (Be careful: it should not be warm to the touch.)

 

Disclaimer: Just like a traditional galette, ours has a feve inside. Be careful when eating.
